The Serbia rule
Serbia → Kosovo → Serbia works. Kosovo → Serbia does not, if your trip into Kosovo started elsewhere.
| Plan | Works? | Safer route |
|---|---|---|
| Belgrade → Prizren → Belgrade | Yes, by the FCDO advice | – |
| Tirana → Prizren → Belgrade | Risky, no Serbian entry stamp | Prizren → Skopje, then into Serbia |
| Fly to Pristina → Prizren → Belgrade | Risky, no Serbian entry stamp | Via North Macedonia or Montenegro |
Prizren has a direct bus to Skopje (09:00, €10) and one to Podgorica (18:30, €15).
Driving in
Your European green card doesn’t cover Kosovo, so you buy local insurance at the border. The FCDO warns of summer queues at the Albania crossing. We could not read the US State Department page, so nothing here comes from it.
